What model is this? Bought a new truck

Hi! I just bought a new truck!

1976 GMC. DRW, 14 foot or so flat bed mounted right to the frame. Has a 350sbc pushing a SM465. It's rwd.

VIN is TCL3361542509

Registration lists the model as TC3140

I assume this is a cab and chassis. Any other pointers?

Pics can happen tomorrow. It's on the farm across town right now.

What would you want to see a picture of?

Just a suggestion, but you might want to "x" out the last few digits of the vin. Posting your complete vin on the web isn't always a good idea.

Re: What model is this? Bought a new truck

Check the SPID in the glove box once you can touch the truck. Pics of that can help as well.

Not uncommon for a truck to live several years with a normal bed, then be converted to a flatbed. Lots of beds sitting in the back 40. Might ask the seller if they know the history. Possible the bed box is sitting nearby.

No SPID in this glove box, unless it's not glued to the inside lid like I'm used to.

It might be in the engine bay on the inner fender...

Re: What model is this? Bought a new truck

Since it's a cab chassis with a 14 foot bed it never had a pick up box on it

They are the same.

A GMC is a Chevy with RPO Z88 "Nameplate Conversion" added.

(or - a Chevy is a GMC with RPO X88 added - if you prefer).

Cab chassis information is included in the attachment provided.
