Deluxe heater controls for AC conversion on a 66- help needed

As part of the restoration Im doing on my 66 I have only the heater panel with the single pull style knob. I am planning to add AC from Vintage Air and they have a way to connect to the 3 lever style deluxe unit. Since I dont have it I would be putting a WTB ad and I just want to make sure Id have all I need to connect to , pulley, brackets and such. Ive searched and seen alot of broken levers and some with brackets some without and I just want to make sure I get what I need.

I usually go here to place WTB adds, but that's just me (also you may want to become a member):http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/forumdisplay.php?f=7

Here's the thing, you need a heck of a lot of stuff. It's not just the heater controls, it's the entire heater box inside and out you need as well. It's all part of it.

The heater box? You mean the one mounted to the firewall that is in the engine bay? That I have. I thought the sure fit vintage air will hook up to all that and I just need to buy the deluxe control unit like this

I'm in for a fun ride it seems.

You will want to check on what all it works with for the heater box. As for the controls, all there is to the deluxe controls is the control set, one bracket to the dash and 2 cables going to the doors on the inside heater box and 1 cable going to the heat valve on the outside heater box. Don't worry about broken levers on a set, that is very common and they are easily replaced.

Ill check with vintage air on the compatibility with the heater, good to know the levers are easily replaced.
I found these which I think are a fit.

Thanks Rocknrod, I will try the WTB and see what kind of prices and part condition comes from it. The after market units look a little different on the top plate with the text on it. Id like to get an original from that if possible. Plus I need to paint the face plate to match the dashs silver color.

Also the aftermarkets are around $170 plus shipping.

The levers are a little bit cheaper at LMC but only by a few dollars.

U may be better to buy the new deluxe controls from classic parts, lmc etc. the vintage air will have everything else you need for the conversion.

Old Air Products has a “similar” to stock control that goes into the heater control spot. It’s fairly new and will only work on their systems. I’m concidering one now..
