hydroboost unit fitment ?

i see there is specific part #'s for these .

i have a real clean uni from a c-10 diesel truck with good hoses .

want to swap it in place of my NASTY / RUSTY / READY TO POP lines unit i was going to use from old truck to new .

i dont recall much of any info on how there different from each other . there both from 80's gm trucks .

anyone know the difference or if you have a 1/2 ton unit on a k30 with k30 master and no problems.

i have a new master to install on the unit when i install a good non rusty/crusty unit .

Re: hydroboost unit fitment ?

I'm about to put hydro-boost on my 85. I have 3 systems-all mid 80's. I had pulled some units off of military 1009/1028s. Those were the Blazer and k30s. The units themselves are exactly the same. When I put the axles in my K20 they had much bigger brakes (Dana 60/13x4 drums). The only difference I found was with the master cylinder and it's bore size. All the hoses and fittings were the same between the Blazer, C30, and K30.

Re: hydroboost unit fitment ?

I got two friends that have them on thier cars with big nasty engines that don't produce any vacuum. One of them we pulled off an astrovan. I don't think there's any difference in the unit themselves. Just match the master cylinder and go for it.
