4l80/205 using Twin-Sticks?
Has anyone setup or running twin sticks on thier 205 behind a 4180?
I'm curious about the bracketry and location on the floor. In particular if it will clear a bench seat. |

Re: 4l80/205 using Twin-Sticks?
shouldnt be to bad . you can angle the levers a bit if need be or extend the mount point for the levers and longer threaded rod .
who's kit ? and i love the feel / shift of a twin stick 205 . much better than single lever . i have ord stuff my self . few pics of my 6 lever combo . and custom made mount for the 5 levers and tie in for lokar shifter for 4l80-e . i did move my setup a bit forward just a little bit cause i have a weird combo all mated up . few pics of the mount and then main levers for red driving in rear position . bench seat tracks for the bucket mount all the way back . cross tube just a hair past the bolt holes if any for seat bottom reference point . this combo was a tripple stick setup for the ord doubler kit . then a twin stick kit for a 203 t-case used on the left for a pto in/out lever and incab winch control in/out . the last is the lokar for the 4l80-e setup to pop up threw the stock 4 speed hole . if you wanted to angle them forward shorten the threaded rod a bit . that would put them at a slight slant forward .

Damn- that looks like an epileptic octopus! Make a carjacker cry.
I have an ORD setup on one of my 4500's that I'm not going to use. I told Chris at ORD today and he said send it back and they would exchange it for a th400 one that could be setup for the 4l80 as well. Didn't think about it until later on how it might interfere with the bench seat. I believe the 4l80 is 4 inches longer than the 400. Someone on the other site mentioned using cables? I just received my lokar shifter like the one you have. 16 inch bench bend. I love Lokar, that's all I'll buy. |

Re: 4l80/205 using Twin-Sticks?
ya i had to modify the lokar bell crank kit to work with my lever combo and let me put the lokar so far up to fit the 4 speed hole .
i am happy with there stuff . yes ord guys are great . they will work with you real good on there products . they swapped a doubler plate and few parts for me on a kit i got in trade that was brand new . i just paid shipping . oh thats right your going 2 stick . that puts you off the stock bolt hole on the adapter . . . my bad i do doublers and it mounts off the 203 range box face .

4x4k30-
Thanks for the pics. Are those ORD sticks? Cable operated or linkage? They don't list them for the 4l80 but Chris said they can make them for whatever. |

if they rattle then you dont have them installed correctly .
i had a twin stick ord kit on a 205 for almost 8 years no rattles .

Re: 4l80/205 using Twin-Sticks?
yaa that looks like a much cheeper kit . and its only around 20 bucks less than ord kit with shipping . http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/NP2...ckShifters.htm
i can see were all his points can rattle . ord uses urethane bushings / hiem joints / jamb nuts / linkage bars . and you ground the shift rail i hope not the fork . . . . and you can do twin stick with out doing the rail mod for front wheel drive option . it just gets you seperate lever for front and rear with the option of 2wd low rear . but modifying the rail gets you front wheel drive option .
