Anybody here ever rebuilt an SM420?

Do you need a press or any special tools? The bearings in mine are beginning to make noise.

I rebuilt a Saginaw 4 speed at the auto hobby shop on Miramar when it was a NAB. Not that bad to do. They had a shop manual I used. You can do it Luke.

As far as I can tell so far, synchro rings are not available for the SM420 (in case they are needed). Novak notes on their site that they hope to have them available in the future.
