'62 Kick Panel Trim and Paint Code tag? Questions

I've got what I THINK is the data tag off the kick panel of my '62 K10 project.
Is there a decoder anywhere?

It says GVW Rating is 5,600 LB... What's the correct rating for '62 K10

Trim is STD (Standard)
Paint is 508 A (What color is this?)
Wheel Base is 127

What's really throwing me is the engine HP ratings:
115 @ 3600 RPM (235 cu. in.)
130 @ 3800 RPM (261 cu. in.)
160 @ 4000 RPM (327 cu. in)

There's no listing for the 283.

Is there a paint code chart anywhere?

Thanks,
-Brad

508 paint code is Balboa blue. Not sure why the 283 is not listed. maybe its not the correct tag?

327’s werent available until 1966 in a 1/2 ton truck.

I stand corrected! Google search say they were available in 1962.

Might not be correct tag for your truck

Re: '62 Kick Panel Trim and Paint Code tag? Questions

That's weird. We scrapped the cab, and kept the data plate (I asked my buddy and he cut it out himself).
The truck was Balboa Blue, and it was all original. (EVERY panel was rotted beyond saving... even the door hinge areas were rotted away)

What does the "A" stand for after the paint code number?
