ball joint lbs on pull scale
Hello all,
I am going back over my front end. I get a little "memory steer". When i rebuilt the front end I remember testing how many pounds of force require to rotate the outer c. Everything checked out during the install, but I can not find the specification of how many pounds it should be. Something is a little tight and i want to double check. Thanks, Chris |

Re: ball joint lbs on pull scale
25 lbs i think pulling with a fish scale in the tie rod hole.
also verify the u-joint on the axle is not frozen up . jack up front end and turn the wheel . then try and spin the tire . if the joint is frozen or sticking it will be hard to spin the tire.

Re: ball joint lbs on pull scale
Not enough caster will cause that as well.
