Smile Did the 250 six come in these?

My Father works at the Hilton Double-Tree Hotels and noticed an Employee there is driving her grandpa's 79-80 Chevy Big 10 pickup he noticed it's for sale... 2wd, long box, 2-tone not sure on miles or transmission I think he said LOW miles Rust free (Surprisingly for Michigan).

I wanna try to go look at it this weekend if everything works out.
I'll get some pictures too if i do Don't see the Inline Bangers much anymore but I've always wanted one Had a 76 Nova a few yrs ago with a 250 in it.

I know they are HIGHLY Customizable! Which I love... But still, love my MPG Being a Broke 20 yr ole who can't even afford an Apartment there so $$$ here over $800 just for a single room place without a garage.

Show me your trucks with Inline bangers in them!!
Thanks.

Re: Did the 250 six come in these?

This was my '80 stepside, ordered new and followed through the assembly plant while it was being built.

You might notice some tricks here, like lowered about 6" in back, 4" in front, spare tire mounted in the box, etc. Some of the tricks you can't see are a 250 cu in straight six with dual exhausts, a 4 speed saginaw with floor mounted shifter, and a platform hitch that comes out from behind the license plate.

I sold this one in about 1985/86 when I became a company vehicle driver the first time...

Reading this stirred up some memories. My sister had a 1968 dark green 327 Camaro with a floor-mounted 3 speed and dual Thrush pipes mounted on the sides of the car. That car was a LOT of fun when I had the keys to joy-ride around.

Maybe Thrush pipes would have been a good touch on your dual exhaust.

We used to get away with a lot more before we were forced to breathe cleaner air.

You could still get the non-integrated head in 1979
