How to wire my 65 C10 LS?

My 65 C10 is at the painters and should be there for several months or more so I've got lots of time to research wiring. I'm going to rework the stock harness and make a fuse/relay block and have all the info for that. The thing I'm stressing about is the rest of the engine compartment wiring that I'll be doing from scratch with a new whole truck wiring harness. If anyone has some good tutorials articles they can link I'd appreciate it. (FWIW I'm using an 08 5.3 Tahoe motor and 4L60E trans)

What are your concerns exactly? Getting everything connected? Routing? Making it hidden/look nice?

Are you using a new aftermarket LS harness, a factory one, or actually building one from scratch?

Like I said I'm modifying the factory engine harness and making a fuse/relay block with a four wire hook up. That part I don't think will be a problem with all the info I've found.
It's the rest of the engine compartment I need to do from scratch. Battery to fuse panel. One thing I'm thinking about is the standalone harness has a plug going to the alternator and a plug going to the starter so I'm assuming the engine compartment wiring won't be like stock.

Re: How to wire my 65 C10 LS?

Theres a ton of info on the net about redoing your own harness....a LS harness Is basically a standalone harness, only needing constant power, switch on power and grounds
Me ,I dont want the headache of redoing one...so I buy mine ..
Search on here, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=780507
heres a guy that bought a Ebay harness that's cheap enough I wouldnt waste my time with a stock one...my suspicion is it's a PSI harness anyway...
