What transfercase do I have??
On the shifter it saies:
-4H lock -4H -N -4L -4L lock ?? I was told it is constant 4wd, but then, why can I drive with the front hubbs unlocked??

That is the shift patern for a NP203 Full time. The LOC is to lock a diferential in the transfercase. That case was used pretty heavy 73-79. In 80 they went to 205 then in 81 they went to the 208

Sorry I got in a Hurry. Your case has been converted to part time. The LOC is now 4x4 and the other positions are 2x4.
Here is a write up I did on converting a NP203 to part time.
