Distributors

I am getting close to finishing my 454 build for my 65 C10. The question for the group is what kind of clearance issues will I have when picking out a distributor? I am sure I will have to move the engine mounts forward to get clearance for the valve covers if I don't move the engine forward will there be a problem with the larger HEI unit?

Re: Distributors

Might be tight but you can buy small cap types.

Re: Distributors

Don't know if you can see or not, but I have mine mounted in the rear holes. I did notch the firewall so the engine would sit back. I have a full size HEI sitting back there with no problems. If you look close you can see the red cap in the back of the engine in the 2nd picture.
