S10 Transmission Question
So I have a 1965 longbed with a 327 in it. It already has a 3 on the floor but the shifter is to close the seat. I'm wanting to put a s10 transmission in it. What all do I need to put one in my truck besides the transmission its self. Thanks for any info.

Re: S10 Transmission Question
The real reason it's a good idea is because it's a 5-speed trans with overdrive - and the S10 variant of the T5 has the stick in the right place to clear a bench seat. Low highway rpm is the benefit. It's light duty, but is fine behind a small V8 as long as not abused. There a few "world class" S10 transmission out there, but not many - WC is slightly beefier. The best combo is a Camaro main case with an S10 tailshaft - avoids the spacing required with an S10 input shaft yet has stick correctly located.
