1965 c10 steering gear box
The steering gear box on my 65 is very sloppy. Are parts available to rebuild it, or would it be better to find a good used one or buy a reman.

redheadsteeringgears.com
rochauto.com I just removed the 6 cyl pump and put the pump and hoses from a 79 (during my V-8 conversion) and the hoses fit to the box perfectly. Back when I first put on the PS I used the collapsible shaft from a 67 to replace the solid 66 shaft. But who knows if that stuff I got from the 67, including the box, was original to the truck or not. Not me for sure. Last edited by vince1; 08-25-2019 at 03:01 PM. |

Might be a good time to upgrade to power steering.
I went with redhead.
