Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
it's called:
brace, inner fender to cab check LMC truck catalogue 38-7380 BRACE-INNER FNDR TO CAB $12.95 (2) required-----page 17 page 17 also shows the hardware to hold it all together, it's cheap if you're ordering anyway. both brackets go on the same way (direction facing) but can't remember which way that is. 30-1279 FENDER GROMMET SET(4 PC S) $5.95-----------------page 31 |

Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
here is another thread talking about the same thing, basically. I posted a few pics of some brackets I have kicking around in case you want to fab something up. still need the grommets though.

Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
There is that little rod brace at the back but the passenger side doesn't use a bracket like the drivers side does, the inner fender bolts direct to the toe board part of the firewall.
The rod is on page 14 of the current LMC catalog online. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/ca/full.aspx?Page=14

Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
sorry, I was assuming your truck is a 55-59. I have too many profiles in my brain to remember everybody and what they are running with. maybe next time you could add a year range to the title, it would help us old farts with 1/2 a brain, lol. good thing mr48 is on the ball.
check out the lmc catalogue, it has some diagrams in it that may help. somewhere around page 13-14? |

Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
are you talking about the bolt holes/captured nuts in the inner? they bolt straight to the firewall/angled toe board. the drivers side is shorter and matches up to a bracket on the toe board for the parking brake, but the passenger side just bolts right to the toe board. if you replaced your floor in that area likely the bolt holes dont exist until you drill them. takes the same 5/16th bolts as everything else on the truck

Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
My truck was missing that piece when I got it. I about went nuts trying to figure out how to make my drivers fender attach to the cab. I was further confused because the passenger side mounts directly to the toe board and doesn't use one. Couldn't find an original one so bought a repro. It fit fine.

Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
Yep, there is no bracket connecting the inner fender to the firewall on the passenger side! There is one on the drivers but not the passenger side.

if you were asking for the passenger side that may be why they couldnt find it, but the drivers side part is in their catalog, page 14 http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/ca/full.aspx?Page=14 called a parking brake support, part #3 in the picture.

Re: passenger front fender to firewall bracket?
I'm thinking that he assumed he needed one on the passenger side because there was one on the driver's side. None needed on the passenger side.
