72 blazer value?

looking at a 72 k5, its a complete body on frame/axles. no engine, no top, no seats. needs floor/rocker repair. they are wanting 3500 but I think its more like a 2-2500 truck. what you think?

Re: 72 blazer value?

Five years ago I would have been hard pressed to offer $500 for a Blazer in that condition, but today they're commanding a premium. I would say make the offer and see where it goes, if you really want a Blazer and are willing to spend a lot of time and money on it.

I know board member A1971Blazer is somewhere around there and he's probably got a good idea of the local value. If he doesn't chime in you should send him a PM. He's a good guy.

If your thinking 2,500 and they want 3,500 then I would think both of you are close enough together to make a deal. Everytime you look at Blazer prices they are going up. Pay now or pay more later. Good luck.

Re: 72 blazer value?

I need to look at it better and see how bad the floors and rockers are. he wanted me to do metal work on it a few months back but hadn't had time to check it out.

Re: 72 blazer value?

I gave 3500 for my newest project, it was 100% complete running and driving but needs every piece of sheet metal minus the bed floor and all soft parts. 10 years ago i paid 2500 for one that was almost perfect, only needed rocker panels. I can't believe how high these trucks have gotten
