Re: What color white

I believe they were originally painted GM code 12 gloss white. Also goes by code WA5111.

Would you also have the Paint Code for the GM "Frost White" used on the GM Styled Sport wheels?

Re: What color white

My 84 GMC wheels seem to be the Frost White color. I just bought a wheel since I didn't have a spare, so painted it gloss Krylon White for now

"Frost White" is also the same GM code 12. I think the name changed from "Frost White" to just plain "White" sometime around 1980, but the code (and shade of paint) remained the same.

The code 12 frost white / white was commonly used from 1975 up into the 1980's as both an exterior paint color (both solid & two-tone) as well as being used for steel wheels (both plain & styled) along with some painted bumpers & mirrors.

Very Inforamtive & Interesting! I did not know such things.
I was told by a good Collector friend of mine - Michael Newman on the FB [NOS Squarebody] Parts group that it was Frost white as you mention, He didn't say if they changed the name in through the 1981+ Model years although mine is a 1982 Silverado with the 6.2L diesel So it's pretty uncommon IMO.
