inner fender issues

Hey Guys,

I've searched the board, and I've almost got my plan together to start on my truck, and I think I've found a problem. The front inner fenders on my 72 chevy are not very deep. I want to bag the front on 20's, but I think the inner fender is in the way. I'll be driving the truck every day, and I need a way to gain more clearance and keep some kind of inner fender there to keep dirt and water and what not out of the engine compartment. Any ideas. I lookled on the board but didn't find anything.

You could section & raise your original inner wheelwells. Alot of work, but it looks good in the end. N2TRUX has his 82 Blazer done this way & it looks nearly stock.... just slicked out.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I am planning on having some new inner fenders made. I have my '69 bagged and the front wheels sit on the inner fenders with no turning radius, but like you I want to keep it really clean.
