exhaust routing muffler placement advice?

Mocking up the dual exhaust on my 65. Suspension is a 3/4 drop. I have shorty headers and so far I've run the exhaust straight back through the trans crossmember to just behind the cab. Not using an h pipe. As you can see I've got a muffler propped up where I figure it should go. Right now its sitting 2 1/2" below the bottom of the wood floor. It'll be a challenge to jog the pipe in and up to the muffler inlet. Once I get the mufflers on and the truck is driveable I'll trailer it to the muffler shop to make some tail pipes to exit behind the wheels. I have no idea for hangers. How does this muffler placement look? Where/how should I do hangers?

I think so. I’m waiting for some parts to put the driveshaft back on but I could run a bungee cord in its place to check for clearance. I guess tipping the mufflers might be an option.

IMO, mufflers with an offset inlet and center outlet work better.
