I have a 2009 6.0 and a 6L80E out of the Pontiac G8 I am told it’s the same as 2010 Camaro and pin 57 is not used does anyone know where I get the signal for the speedometer from

Re: ECM/speedometer

Just guessing a little here, but I'd say plan on using that pin 57 for the speedo. You may need to turn something on in the tune to get an output on that pin at all, though.

That pin 57 is what I expect to use myself.

From what I've gleaned, some vehicles had a wheel speed sensor at each corner. Others did not include rear wheel sensors, and instead relied on a transmission output speed, coming from that pin 57. I can't guarantee this is accurate, but it makes some sense to me.

We're sorta' misusing that pin 57 by expecting it to drive a speedometer. But reports say it works fine.

Re: ECM/speedometer

Thanks that’s what I have read, I have a print out from lt1 swap on 2010 Camaro witch I used to build my harness and have been told was the same as the 09 G8, and it shows it’s not available. I called current performance but was told he didn’t think it could be turned on if it said not available, but I had had to Email the tuner and now I’m waiting for a reply. Was hoping sum one had been down this road
