These where on my 71 GMC when I bought her. Made on Long Beach CA. I would like to reinstall them but one of the support pieces is rusted pretty badly. The mirror assembly is stainless and in excellent condition considering the age..thanks for any help in locating suitable support tubes. LOCATED

Looks like a variant of the ''RV. Jr'' or ''West Coast Jr.'' Mirror.
If the company is defunct 49 years later, you may have to make your own tubing pieces.
Bending will be difficult. Sourcing 1/2'' stainless steel tubing might not be as hard.
To brace up a wide-angle mirror on my '67 K/10 Suburban, I used common 1/2'' dia EMT, flattened the ends and drilled 3/8'' holes for mounting bolts. Cured a bad wobble at higher speeds.

Thanks I appreciate your help ! never thought I’d want to reinstall them but they started looking better every time I look at all the holes in the doors and windows frames..

What I like about West Coast Jr mirrors is the view.
Clear and deep.
Real hard for a cop to sneak up on you if you pay attention. Also good on the freeway to make sure something bigger, like a Semi, isn't bearing down on you. Face it, these rigs are not the fastest things on wheels, any arguement that they cause too much drag from wind resistance, is unrealistic, as any pickup is an aerodynamic brick.
The later [MY '69-on] below-the-eyeline types are good since the driver's view forward [at ~10:30 and 2:30] is unobstructed at all times. Before that we had to train ourselves to move our head and look again, to counteract the blindspots.

Those "towing/camper" mirrors often were a bit regional in that the dealer either installed pretty much the same aftermarket mirrors when people asked for them on new trucks or that is what the local parts houses sold. Maybe even Western Auto, Coast to coast or the local Bi-Mart.

You might find the pieces on trucks that are sitting in a wrecking yard or somewhere else if the truck came from your area. I'm 200 miles north of you and don't remember that exact style though. You might also find the pieces you need on other mirrors that are almost the same that will work. Or clean up, repair and have the ones you have rechromed.

Time to take that piece to the plater. If you don't want to polish them out, you could get the plater to. You say they are marked with that brand name? What mirror does your SPID show? No option? Then they were added. But GM did offer G38 - Bus Type Extension Mirrors and that is the same type of mirror. It could be these are the same mirror sold aftermarket that was supplied to GM by the same company.

They look very similar to what's on the 64 we have. Maybe look older trucks. Can take a picture when I get home this afternoon. Let me know. So I dont forget.

I will try to post a better close up photo. I know that they replaced the original sport mirrors because the screws and retaining plated where still in the doors. The Coronado mirrors where installed by Lynch Cadillac Pontiac GMC. I only need the one chrome plated support arm/strut/tube what ever you call it. Everything else is in great shape. A couple of stainless nuts & bolts to replace the rusted ones.

Sweet,
It is a little more complicated than just a simple strut, with the adjuster, but if you decided on the exact length, you could've fabbed one out of tubing, flattened the ends, drilled bolt holes in the ends, rounded off with a grinder, and there it is.
But it doesn't match the exact, right part, to be sure.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
