I think I bought the wrong fan shroud?
So I purchased this fan shroud through Instagram from a guy who builds some really nice 60-66 trucks out in Arizona. He said it was a metal shroud for a v8 radiator and said that it would fit my 63.
I figured that a metal one would be nicer than the fiberglass ones sold by all the parts places, and his shipped price was something that I was willing to pay. Now that it is here, I think I messed up. The shroud measures around 24" wide, the barrel is about 20 and a quarter diameter, and the height is about the same as the diameter. I'm thinking that I could make it fit once I get everything put back together right, but I don't want to have to do any major modifications to the shroud or my side baffles to make it fit. If I have to, I'll just buy the repop fiberglass shroud that should fit with my v8 radiator in the v8 location with my 283 (short water pump). Thanks in advance for y'alls knowledge!

Re: I think I bought the wrong fan shroud?
I once owned a 62 with factory V8/ powerglide. This looks almost identical. Those can be hard to come by. I am really not sure if it is correct for a 63 V8. Perhaps someone else can weight in on this.

That is a fan shroud for a '60-'62. 1963 was the first year for the fiberglass/composite fan shroud. They are not interchangeable. You may be able to sell that one here on the forum. I just do not know if it is for a V8 or a I6.

Was the 63-66 shroud only offered in the fiberglass/composite material? I sure hope that someone needs this one. I definitely don't need it now
