Re: Unique Cab Mods
I thought of stretching my 48 similar to the red one and using Suburban window surrounds that I cut down to get proper looking quarter window openings. Then I saw a couple and just didn't like the look.
That top truck could be fixed pretty easily with the door tops off a pair of doors and the matching sections out of a roof. That would give it closer to the look of the blue cab over window wise with a wider post. Some nice work and thought put into that blue cab over. it just looks right.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
I am not a fan of any of them but the blue one is ok. The white one, sorry, it's a parts truck now.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
Look at the build thread for my extended cab for a different perspective.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
Here is a cool one from back in 2017 at a local car show. Triple cab with a flat deck.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
Thanks. I've since raised it about 5 inches and put chrome Cragar SST centerlines on it. One of these days I'll figure out how to post new pictures of it since Photobuckets b/s.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
I really like that you kept the bed stock length when you extended the cab rather than cutting the bed down to make up for the added cab length that blows things out of proportion no matter what rig it is on You see that on the white one in the lead photo of the thread. That truck really needs a longer bed along with fixing the corners of the rear doors.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
White one is hard on my brain. Looks like it's going backwards or something.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
Using standard doors for the rear makes white one look very wrong. Maybe if they were replaced it would work better?

Re: Unique Cab Mods
Thanks. I used a long bed frame and I hand made the bed 2" taller than factory, rounded the front to match the cab and actually made it about 3/4" longer than a stock short bed. Keeping the proportions right was really important. I've seen too many custom vehicles that had way too much work put into them to make an ugly vehicle.

Re: Unique Cab Mods
AG, do you have a pic of your truck without the photobucket insignia across the middle? it would be nice to see the whole truck detail.
