Unusual Chrome Trim

Hi Guys,

First time on this side of the forum and came across what I believe is a unique 51 Chevy 5 window with chrome trim that i had not seen before and was hoping someone could shed some light on how rare this was.

Thanks

Re: Unusual Chrome Trim

Pretty rare and brings good money depending on condition. Looks like this side is missing one rear peice.

I think Carter started re making it. So value may not be quiet as strong. Neat old truck .

Re: Unusual Chrome Trim

I've seen those "Sargeants Strips" on panels and Suburbans, but never seen them on a pickup before. Was the option also available on pickups, or did someone retrofit those?

Re: Unusual Chrome Trim

As far as I know they were only and option on Burbs and panels. Lots of them ended up on lowrider bomba pickups though..

It looks like someone stuck a lot of the trinkets on that truck sometime in it's life.
