62 T700 install query
Could someone please let me know the distance between the top of the T700 trans and the low hump trans cover?
I need to work out floor shifter mounting. Thanks |

Yes, it is a T700R4 removed from a C4 Vette.

I don’t think that dimension will be established until your transmission xmember is in and pinion angle established, lot of variables between motor mounts and transmission mounts to pick that out before they are established.....

Re: 62 T700 install query
I have the driveline all set with eng and trans mounts done incl pinion angle.
The cab is still off the chassis and I was looking at preparing mounts for the shifter. Probably best I wait until cab is mounted..thank you for your interest. |

Re: 62 T700 install query
I would.
I set up a 200R4 with a low hump, no problems.

Re: 62 T700 install query
Thanks for your input. Gratifying to know you had no shifter install clearance issues.
Just saw your build...looks first class. Your attention to detail sure seems to be paying off....very nice. |
