Door locks help 81/87 c10

I did some research on the door locks but I'm still confused. I have 3 wires on my door lock harness with a relay attached to the bracket on the pedal. I read that there is a wire or 2 that goes to the fuse box. I didn't see that wire on my 3 wire harness. How does the lock switch get it 12v. I'm a little confused. On a good note my windows work great with the relay mod. Any info is well appreciated

So I went back and found the orange wire that connects to the fusebox. Hooked it up and tested for current at both switches and at the relay. I have power to them. Thinking it might be the relay that has gone bad

These relays are hard to find. I wonder if I can put a 5 pin Bosch relay instead. If anyone has done this can you post what wires goes to each pin. Thanks in advance.

The relay most be mounted to work. That's how it gets a ground, through the metal case. If mounted and no ground, clean mounting area.

If your using the factory relay if you do as Wgesnerjr said. Turns out to be no good or it does not work. Then you can use this link post near the bottom relay https://bowtieguy.proboards.com/thre...lliamps-charts
