Body Patch Panels

Greetings,
I Have a 72 Chevy C10. Need to repair rusty rockers and cab corners. Have seen "patch" panels at different venders. (LMC, brothers, etc). Haven't looked at AMD yet.

Where should I get them at? Want to have decent material to work with.

thanks.

I recommend AMD parts. For an aftermarket part, they seem to fit OK and be stamped from a decent gauge metal. Not sure which parts retailers sell their parts. I would try to support one of our board vendors, such as GMCPaul

Re: Body Patch Panels

Here's the replacement parts from AMD sold thru Summit For 1972 C-10 Use Summit for their fast /free/discounted shipping and great customer service , They also price match if you find a part at a lower price somewhere else .

Re: Body Patch Panels

I just went this route for my 63 C-10 and ordered 2 AMD fenders pass. side fit great but the drvs. side was garbage . They advertise AMD but it came as TRIPLUS so IDK maybe the same company ?? Summit did take it back I lost a little $ but I was going to accept a part that was that far off. I did research for days and it sounds like they are all made in China, Taiwan etc. Dont think it matters much I looked at the local vendors here (forum)and shipping was as much as the fender. Good Luck

Re: Body Patch Panels

Most of my patch panels came from Wes @ Classic Heartbeat. Purchased some time ago. Seemed to fit fine. The older panel I had needed some work. I only used partials though. Shipping is getting expensive through the forum vendors. Summit is great for some parts on shipping. Though they seem to be adding an over size charge to many parts now. My inner grill showed up in a day, fit great. Free shipping. Also got 4 wheels from them, very fast and free shipping. Unfortunately shipping costs are going up. Large items will cost $. Classic Parts is another one I frequently purchase from.

I just completed this job on both sides of my truck. I did a full write up on it in this forum. I used all patch panels from RAYBUCK. They all fit almost perfect with very little modifications. Good luck with this project
