LS Headers on Blazer K5 4X4 Frame

What are the header options for an LS on a Blazer K5 4X4 frame - only want to buy one set. Considering buying set now before frame goes to powder in case of minor clearance issues.

Was hoping to just buy a set that fit, no questions asked

Wanting chrome/ceramic coated

thanks guys

Re: LS Headers on Blazer K5 4X4 Frame

I used these Doug Thorley headers with no fitment issues.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dte-324y-c

I also used the same Dirty Dingo motor mounts that you did. Mine is a K-10 and not a Blazer but I think the fitment would be the same? Their description calls out Blazer and Jimmy so they should work.

Re: LS Headers on Blazer K5 4X4 Frame

Used Doug Thorley as well but the 1 7/8" mid length. Do not like the look of exhaust hanging under a frame. Required minor trimming on top rail. Can see them mounted in page 7 of my build thread. I am using the Pacific Fab crossmember. As noted in my post, there is minor interference with passenger side shackle bolt. Probably could be rectified by trimming bolt.

Re: LS Headers on Blazer K5 4X4 Frame

You mentioned some inference with the frame... is this something you have a pic of? Bout ready to send frame to powdercoat but don't have the headers yet. This might be a problem. Plus I am running leaf springs..... how much interference was there with the leaf springs ?

I got the blackhorse headers on ebay. They fit good and I had no issues. They seem pretty well made, I am sure they are lesser quality then others but I figured if they didn't work or needed modified I was out less money

Re: LS Headers on Blazer K5 4X4 Frame

Working on truck all day. Did get some pics for you hope they help. Left and right header to frame and passenger side shackle bolt. Should be able to trim bolt or reverse to eliminate interference, not as bad as I originally thought. I moved motor back almost 1" from test fit. So I will need to remove some more of the upper frame. You can see it is not a lot. Only removed maybe 1/4" and just need a bit further back.

Re: LS Headers on Blazer K5 4X4 Frame

Thanks Richard those do help a bunch - I have an issue with sliding motor back right now. I am running a 6L80 with 208 and already have a huge rear driveshaft angle, sliding the motor back will only make it worse. Driveshafts were ordered yesterday so hopefully I wont need to slide it.
