Every one of those item will need a fastener set.

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
Go to LMC and look at the diagrams. They will tell you what parts they have and diagram shows where they go. They have all the parts and wood for bed to include hardware, rails, and diagrams showing images.

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
Ok thanks. It looks like my list covered everything except the bolts and tail light parts.
Switching to a fleet side is vary tempting. |

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
But then again when I was looking for a good photo of my truck to add a fleet side bed to, I cam across this photo of my truck at the Dyno. Maybe I just need to figure out a less bulky rear bumper.

Or maybe try a roll pan or roll pan and bumper. Here are some more pics.

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
I have thought about a roll pan but the biggest problem I have with the step side is that it looks too small compared to the cab. I think that a roll pan would make the bed even smaller.
I saw this bumper on an earlier model truck. It looks like the bumper that I have only it has been tucked in and trimmed. I have also seen a front bumper relocated to the rear. The only problem I have is I don’t know how I would mount my rear plate. The truck in the photo also has widened fenders but I am not planning on doing that |

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
I wouldn't change it, everybody does that. It's a "trend", like billet and tweed was. I can remember when the trend was toward step sides.

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
To add, I believe LMC has free shipping on order of $1k and more. I personally like the look of your truck. I see what you're saying about the rear bumper and agree that maybe tightening the bumper up to the truck would make a big difference. I also agree with your roll pan comment...they tend to make the bed look even smaller. These are just my opinions of course.

I think the inner fenders come with the bedsides, you probably mean wheel tubs

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
This is a interesting mod. Flipped and tucked and the ends were trimmed. I think it is a little to closely tucked though.

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
Does the 67-72 stepside bumper seem too bulky for you as well? I've seen a few people run the 67-72 fleetside bumper on a 60-66 fleetside.
I like your truck as is with the stock stuff though. Another option is a cut down step bumper, but maybe start with one like the bumper on my truck. Whichever decision you go with though, I'm sure it will look great. I also just notices the Caddy tail lights. That's a great look too

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
When I was looking for a truck all I wanted was a short bed step side with a wooden bed. 20 years later and 3 different tries at refinishing the wood and all I want is a fleet side with a bed that I don’t need to worry about refinishing.

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
I like that mod, but I agree that it's a little too close. Farther out would probably look really good on it

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
I was just looking at my bumper. I should be able to easily move it forward by one inch without any major modifications except for drilling new holes in the brackets. I will probably try that first and then see where I want to go from there. I don’t know if I want to flip the bumper.

Re: Fleet side bed parts list
There is one pro and one con to messing with the bumper.
Pro. It is a lot cheaper than buying a fleet side bed. Con. I will probably still want a fleet side. |
