drivers side window movement

All of a sudden the drivers side window on my 87 k10 wants to slide back and forth , roll it down and it flops out of the felt and then to roll it back up you have to steer it into the felt , what makes it do this ???
Took the door panel off and looked but I don't know what I'm looking for , any help on this would be great.

Re: drivers side window movement

Mine was the rear upright rail , it is tack welded to a support rail and the tack weld has broke. I,m sorta sure which rail ,but I do know one of the supporting rails has failed. Can take it apart and tack it again. To much slamming the door with bad felts and such I,m guessing

Check you white roller bushing, that there in the tracks or not broken( REG.on the linkage) if the panel off roll up & down as you check the REG. to see if there is a miss hap it or other parts. If you have to check your good window see what different.

I agree with Pontiac, it’s probably broken wheels. If it’s not that, it’s definitely something in there. Look also at you door sashes, make sure they are tight.
