60-63 GMC to Chevy dash swap
Just looking for some input. I tried searching on here and did not really find much of the information I was looking for, so I thought I would start a new thread. If there are existing threads on this, please get me a link. Perhaps I was just not searching the right keywords, and my google-fu needs some work.
Has anyone converted a 60-63 GMC dash to a Chevy dash? I found a GMC cab that is in significantly better shape than the Chevy cab I currently have. I am just wondering how involved it is to swap the dashes over.

Re: 60-63 GMC to Chevy dash swap
There's some bolts on each side and then a ton of spot welds at the windshield seam. Might be some more spot welds on the side, but that I don't remember. I haven't taken a dash out, but have seen some out before. I'm considering taking mine out eventually to get to all the rust up underneath easier, but that's going to be well on down the road for me

Re: 60-63 GMC to Chevy dash swap
It took me an entire weekend to carefully cut out the dash of a 63 C10. It's doable, but it takes a lot of patience and uninterrupted time (wear a face shield).
