Do I need to remove the fender to get to this damn antenna?

There are 4 bolts ( i believe (2) 9/16 and (2) 1/2 inch)
I ended up opening the door, and using a long extension to reach the two that go into cowl ducting and the last two from the hood side Cowl by Keith, on Flickr

Curious as to if you're deleting it or replacing it. If you are deleting it, I found that a "knock out" plug from a metal electrical box is a darn near perfect size circle for welding in the hole.

Back when I replace mine I put in one that will telescope so that it will fit under my cover. I think I got it at pep boys.
