S10 frame swap 1950 GMC lowering block size?
Just about done my swap 1950 GMC LS/4l60E and now my rear looks too low to me. I used the frame mounts from skymangs post, and have drop spindles in the front. My current rear lowering block is 3" thanks

Re: S10 frame swap 1950 GMC lowering block size?
I'd stick a jack under the back bumper or frame and raise the back up to where I thought it looked right and measure the difference at the center of the wheel well and go from there. That probably isn't more than one/two inches.

Re: S10 frame swap 1950 GMC lowering block size?
I used 2 inch drop spindles and 2 inch lowering blocks, with 15 inch wheels, if that helps?
it's kind of trial and error as it depends on your cab mounts

Re: S10 frame swap 1950 GMC lowering block size?
do you have the wheels you plan to run mounted yet? I always set up a staggered set with different offsets and heights front to back, so a 3/3 drop always works out to a 3/2 or 3/2.5 and a roughly level ride height. that said, if you feel the rear is too low, and you have been driving a little and the front springs have fully settled, just go to a smaller block. (while I am thinking of it, make sure your front springs are seated! holds more guys up, literally, than they like to admit)

Re: S10 frame swap 1950 GMC lowering block size?
Thanks Gents..
I think the rear springs of the S10 frame have sagged..The previous owner used it as a scrap hauler and always had a load on it. I am going to cut my 3" rear block in half and see how it looks.

Re: S10 frame swap 1950 GMC lowering block size?
I wish I removed and replaced my rear leafs when I had the truck apart. The ride is a little stiff and I think that would help smooth it out. (they are probably seized)
Now that the truck is all together, I really don't feel like doing it. Looks great, keep at it
