Door panel

Will a 79 door panel fit an 85 door. Asking for a friend.

My understanding is yes, but you need to change out the door handle assembly. and the window crank. I think the newer panel is deeper. other than that, it should fit

Thanks for the information. I've decided to use my 79 doors. They are not that bad and I won't have to worry about the fit.
