I bought a 62 (oops, it's a 61) pickup today
I dont have any pics yet, I want get it home until the ground dries out. It is a short step side with chrome grill and bumpers. I am not sure if I keep it or not. I needed the hood , no rust. for my 65.
Pics when it gets home David Last edited by dmb; 03-01-2024 at 07:41 PM. Reason: wrong year |

I suggest get it running, vacuum it out, and put an aftermarket hood on it or hood from your 65 and sell it as a running truck.

It may be radical, but looks to me like maybe the local high school art department needs to use it as a canvas. Give them a theme like flower power.

Excellent find! In my honest opinion, if it was born with a '60-'61 hood, keep the '60-'61 hood! They certainly aren't for everyone but it's unique and usually difficult to find in decent shape.
