Oil filter adapter nightmare
Hey guys, I have a 1965 C20 with a stock 283.
I am trying to find an adapter to convert the old cannister filter to a spin on one. I have tried 3 adapters that were supposed to fit from mr gasket to Speedway. All of them have 1/4 bolt to bolt it to my block. My block takes a 5/16 bolt. Does anyone know a bolt on solution? Thanks! |

There is on E bay you could ask question about in the link below.

Re: Oil filter adapter nightmare
If you still have any of Speedway adapters on hand, have you considered drilling out the through holes to .332" to accommodate 5/16" bolts.
