Motor Mount Bar Question
Hello,
what is this bar on top of the K member? Looks like it ties the motor mount bracket together? Is it necessary? I'm swapping an inline six for s Small Block 350. Didn't want it to interfere with the oil pan. ![]() |

Re: Motor Mount Bar Question
It only came on the inline 6 trucks, can't remember what the purpose was. Mine was originally an inline 6 that I swapped a 350 into. I left it on for no particular reason. It doesn't interfere with anything, but you can remove it.

Re: Motor Mount Bar Question
Cool, Thanks. I'm replacing the motor mounts, so might just take it off...If anything to clean up under there too.

Re: Motor Mount Bar Question
If it comes off, might make a nice grab bar on a future project.

Re: Motor Mount Bar Question
Yeah, good idea. I'll use it for something.
