Steering shaft

Anyone know the spline sizes into the box or into the column or length? I would like to get a custom shaft made since I can't find an aftermarket one.

Do you have cross over? If not, you should consider it before getting the sterring shaft made, especiall with the big meats you got on that thing.

No Crossover and don't intend to. It drives very, very straight already and really doen't have bump steer at all. My stock shaft is on it's last leg though. I have contacted Borgeson Corp and they need those measurements to make a custom shaft. They are very good strength and quality.

Anyone know of a company that sells shafts that will fit? I don't wanna take my daily driver apart to make measurements.

Length from box to column where it bolts up. Spline count on each side where it bolts in.

19 7/8 from the ltip of the clamp where it joins the column. that is with about an 1/8 between the clamp and the round black part of the column. and is measured from the lower part in the rag joint?(4 bolts that hold the shaft to the box. ) 36 splines on the column end. i couldnt get the other end off to count but i imagine its the same.

Thier is a guy over at CK5.com that sells them for $75 I think If you go to the salvage yard you can get one out of a van and cut the center section down the vans use 2 ujoints like the flaing river joints and a vibraion dampner My joint with the dampner for my truck came from a van and Im using a flaiming river at the coulume and I only have abought $85 in the hole thing would have had alot less if I would have known abought the van thing.

Cut out the middle section [-------------]
Drill out thr area where the shaft is 3/4" and put in a chunck of 3/4" chrome rod [=======] BLING BLING

Very trick and you lose the Collapsable junk. Done it on my 2wd, very easy to do..
