tailgate handle
HI. Has anybody reworked a 66 GMC fleetside taigate to accept a
internal handle setup like the newer trucks have and have it look like it was original equipment. If so could you tell me what parts you used. Thanks, Bill. |

are the tailgates thick enough to hold all the components?

It seems to be. Tried a setup from a 72 jimmy but would have to rework the handle to much. Was looking at A 87 Ford Ranger handle. Not as much space is needed.

i dont know about putting a handle on a 66 tailgate but i have seen some people take stepside beds off of 90's model trucks and put them on apaches and cheyennes and it actually looks really nice.
