Going to part an 80 Sub
I didn't know if I should post this here or in the 73-87 parts section, but since it is Suburban- related, I chose here. Mods, feel free to move it if I chose wrong!
I am getting ready to part out a complete 1980 Suburban, 2 wheel drive with a factory floor shift manual. The body is severely rusted- there is not much saveabe as far as the sheetmetal goes. The interior is complete, but old and dirty looking. The engine, bellhousing and clutch setup are spoken for, but the tranny is still up for grabs. All glass is good (barn door glass in back). I was driving this thing every day until it developed a brake fluid leak. I had planned on finding a better body because this thing was mechanically OK. Unfortunately, with the local economy and job closings, the bank is telling me to come up with money or give up the house. I hate to do it, but I gotta part her out. I am gauging interest at the moment, as I have a couple vehicles getting parted already. I should be ready to attack this one in the middle of next week. So, post or email with your needs and I'll see what I can do. Oh, this truck has a complete AC system that works. |

Sorry, forgot to mention that I'm in Fairmount, Indiana.
The front seat is a bench. The dash pad is cracked up. |

parts
I am looking for a good cast iron stock intake, prefer one with no egr or heat choke provisions. Also needing a good electric quadrajet w/ electric choke running, and the air cleaner assembly for one.
Have any of these let me know how much and cost of shipping to Little Rock, AR 72206 Thanks Tommy Davis

Sorry for the delay getting back to everyone. Had alot going on. I'll try to hit the questions one by one...
junkyardpartseeker- the engine has been sold already. I do have the air cleaner from the Suburban though. How does $10 plus shipping sound? beaterC10, I am not sure which tranny it is (I don't know much about manuals) but it is a 4 speed with the granny first. As for the steering column, it is from an automatic- it was put in there to replace a bad tilt column. GMCLS1, I have no idea on the rear. I will check it out tomorrow and post the info for you. sierrasports, it doesn't have the stainless piece. I'll post again tomorrow with more info on the instrument cluster. BeerMonkeY, I have one of the barn door windows ready to go (it was extra). Does $10 plus shipping sound OK? |

junkyardpartseeker, sorry, I don't have the rest of the parts you are looking for. If there is anything else you could use, let me know.
BeerMonkeY, how do you tell which side is which? I always thought they were the same from side to side, so it's hard telling which ones I have. Let me know how to tell and I'll see what I got. |

GMCLS1, I couldn't find a tag on the rear, but the codes in the glovebox are all there. Which one should I look at?
