WooHoo!!!! Project 68 finally runs!!
Got to fire up the 350 tonight. Man, does that get me excited! Sounds great, if you can block out the terrible sound that the existing exhaust system makes....a mix of 1 7/8", 2", and 2 1/4" pipe with long glass packs. Sounds terrible!!
So, once the dropped/disc brake front end and dropped rear end are all back together (still setting on jack stands ), the first place I plan to go is the muffler shop! 2 1/4" all the way with series 40 Flowmasters It at least has the idle quality I was hoping for. Not stock smooth, but just a hint of a lope. This should be a good combo for cruising and as a daily driver to/from work. I bought a bone stock 250hp/350 GM Goodwrench engine, added a Comp Cams 268 (perfect idle BTW), a Performance Products dual plane intake, an Edelbrock 600 carb, and a tuned up HEI. I think I am gonna be pleased. Now, I just need to get that suspension back on the truck........

I know you're excited. Fired mine up for the first time a little over a year ago. Awesome!! Post pics when you get a chance.

Keep us posted on that cam set up. If it's a good daily driver, etc...

Thast is usually the most exciting part of the project, It Lives! Of course you know we need pics
Have you thought about 2 1/2" pipe, a bit larger to help it breath and also give it a bit deeper rumble?
