No, it rolled out of the trailer all nice and clean like you see it. I'm not dogging it for being in a trailer though. If I had that option available, I would have done the same.....

I don't know if anyone feels the same way as me but I really don't care for show trucks like that. I can't really justify spending the type of money they do to just build something they have to push around cause they're to afraid to get it dirty or get a chip in the paint. To me all those trailered show trucks (cars included) are oversized hotwheels cars and trucks, can't drive'm so you have to push or pull them around.

But that's just me, I like to have a car or truck that i can drive and enjoy like it was built to be then to just sit there and look at it.

P.S. this is just my opinion I'm not dissing guys that may do that on this board.

I'm the same way. I want to be able to enjoy it. THat's why I will never own a 100 point car. If I go to all the trouble to build it I want to be able to tool up to the show. The hassle of towing something like that everywhere is not worth it to me.

I am getting the itch to build a bit of a hot rod again. I'm at a truning point and I think I am ready to trun loose my 75 Jimmy. I really want to build a 2wd roadster K5 and build it so I can daily drive it. Overdrive reasonable gear and see if I can get 20mpg out of it. My buddy and his wife DD a Vette and get 26mpg...no reason I cant build a light K5 and get 20 despite the crappy areodynamics.

The only cars that should be "trailer queens" are the concourse, 100% all original stock, rare, perfect vehicles...but solely for the sake of posterity.

i like it. who says he dosen't drive it on the street? i've seen cars/trucks just as nice cruising around on fri and sat nights. but it takes alot of detailing to get stuff ready for a show so if he came from far away i probly would have trailored it too. nothing wrong with pro street imo as long as you've got enough under the hood to back up that rubber, which it looks like he does

that shifter is probly mounted like 87shortwides, on a pedestal that mounts to the floor, then the shifter mounts to it

No doubt its a nice truck. Pro-Street or Show only. Who cares, trailered or not who cares. Someone put tons of time and money into that sweet truck. that interior is dam fine. I see nothing at all wrong with that truck

Besides we all have our opinion on things. And yes I do agree with low84 on this one. Depening on the time it takes to get ready for a show like that...and the amount of traviling it takes to get there. I wouldnt dare drive it..cuz i would have just spent all that time cleaning for nothing lol. I am sure he drives it alot. Cuz as we all know. Us 73-87 owners are some hardcore people

Mwah, I don't care for the interior and chrome suspension parts are dangerous (hydrogen embrittlement), if I'd build a pro streeter it'd better haul ass, not be hauled on a trailer. The cog belt setup is sweet, pretty expensive though
