I posted these and a few more in the pics forum. That SWB crewcab looks pretty good. I think I like it better than the one Jason built for himself. The Blazer owner should have quit while he was ahead. The two tone colors don't work for me...

There's a TWIN to that green one, down here by me, except it's FLAT green. It's definately WILD. I'll try to get a picture of it a little later today.

It might mess better with something between the colors. I just dont like the truck because of some particular choices he made building it.
It was Gauge Magazines features last month, when it was solid yellow. I believe Gauge listed it had a 2 link. I guess this crap wont ever stop.

I don't mind 2-links on show vehicles that are rarely driven but daily drivers are another story. For the record, I'll never purchase one.

So being a smartass is the perfect way to defend you being wrong? That is nice.
Lemme guess, you had a 2 link? A 2 link gives no flex, it solidly mounts to the axle and then mounts in the leaf hanger (most do, some are "custom) it still isnt right. Not only do you only have 2 bars trying to track the truck, you now how less flex then stock. Go over an incline and watch your rear wheel come up, b/c it cant flex down and allow movement. The bars bend all of the time when in a lever setup. also gives a lot of pinion angle change. Reverse 4 link... if you had one of those, then congrats.. An axle is suppose to arc forward, not back. A reverse 4 link arcs back, pulling the driveshaft out of the rear, but hey.. i guess they're okay! (not) I'm not gonna make a huge post on why they are wrong. I dont have time. If you can't use common sence of suspension geometry and how it works, then you shouldnt touch a welder or a truck, that is my opinion. I see you're in Oklahoma also.. i know eastern okla is land of crap work.. I live around Muskogee, there isnt 1 truck down there that i know of, that is worth a flip. :shrugs: build what you want.. but there is a plan between a lot of ppl to try and clean this sport up and its wasys, just like the hot rodders did, to weave the idiots out of there.

The blaze would be better had he not painted the wheel fins to match.
That green one is a lot lower than he was at HW. |

So mock the moto.. i dont care. I'm not here to be the next Boyd and some 45 yr old that has some name like Roy Brisio. I build sport trucks that are daily driven and drag.. I dont care for trailer queens, never have, never will.
I said eastern oklahoma... armstrongs truck is in OKC.. there are some nice trucks in the OKC area.. and maybe 1 or 2 in tulsa.. i havent seen them tho, they were mag features and featured wrong setups. Come out east and try to find a rod here that is worth a flip.. Here is what you find in my area.. a good 30-40 mile radius. 1) bondo from all hell 2) body lines that wouldnt line up no matter what you did 3) pour craftsmanship (i'm not saying i'm the best by any means, but dont try to show a truck that has no gap at one side of the roll pan and at least 1 inch on the other... then on your door and front fenders is cracking b/c of bondo and your truck is only ~6 months old) Glad you had both and lived. I know of more then a hand full of 2 link i met around dallas that broke or bent, without 2 yrs of being installed. And at least we agree on reverse 4 links. reverse 4 links do their job, if you NEVER air up and down while driving, etc. Again, that goes against my "trailer queen" dislike. Its suppose to be built to enjoy.. not being able to throw sides b/c you have a stiff 2 link or not being air to air down on some kid in a honda.. b/c it throws your crap way off, isnt my idea of "enjoying it".

Thanks guys. I appreciate you bringing the conversation back to the "non- offensive" level. Both of you guys have valid points....
