How do I wire door speakers?
I'm trying to put some speakers in my doors but I have no clue how to wire them from the door to the CD player. Also, I've got 6X9's and 6.5's and was just wondering which pair would sound better in the doors?

both will be equally as bad. either way you go, you'll be cutting up a good set of doors, and the location in the bottom of the doors wont give you good sound imaging, as they're pointed at your feet, rather than at your ears. if you're fortunate enough to have an 81+ truck, find a set of 3.5" dash speaker brackets from an 85+ truck and mount some 3.5" speakers under the dash pad. not only will they look better, they will sound better, and you wont have to cut up your doors.

I would agree with Jeremy, to get your best sound, you're gonna want some speakers in your cab corners, in your kick panels, and in your dash along with a small sub behind the seat

Well, kick panel speakers and subs and all that would be great, but I don't have the money for all that. I've got 4" speakers to go where the factory 3.5's would be, and I'm just looking for a place to put another pair of speakers that I already have. The 6.5's are thin enough that they could go in the trim panel just under the window crank which is where I'd like to put speakers. As far as cutting up the doors I honestly don't mind doing it because this truck will never be show quality, it's just a daily driver that I need some tunes in. So, any ideas on how to run wires to them?

shouldnt be hard to run the wires, there should be a rubber hose that goes from the door to the cab that you could run the wires through, there should be a pig tail on the back of the radio with RF RR LF LR, for the different speakers, tie them into one of those, depends on how you have the speakers equilzed, more to one side and front or whatever... mine are kept pretty even so it wouldnt matter.
