OK. I need some help. I'm looking for a aftermarket exhaust system kit. I want a dual 2.5" mandrel bent system. I've looked everywhere on the net and all I can find is 2.25". I would like one designed to fit the stock exhaust manifolds since my Edelbrock headers would work great this way, but a standard header back kit would be fine too.

What's out there for this?

who have u already looked for? and y not make one yourself? or have a muff shop do it?

Hooker, Hedman, Dynomax, etc. Hooker has a 2.5" header back kit but they list it as 4wd. I'm guessing this won't work on a 2wd.

I want a mandrel bent kit if I can find one. If not, I'll have to go with a shop made kit.

ligally the exhuast only has to run past the cab, mine doesn't have 1 bend on it, xpt on the drivers side to clear the cross member, we used 2 3inch turn downs from autozone and welded them together to make a step up, and ran it straight to the rear end and put the muffler there and another turn down, on the passinger side it is just a straight pipe angled up till the rear end and then a muffler, no turn down, u can by mandrel bends from summit and i think jegs too. there is also a universal tailpipe kit from flowmaster that comes with all sorts of bends and such in it. oh course if u don't have a welder u can't really make one...

BTW: Did you ever find some mufflers? Dibs on the Aeros!!!

Jeff, no not really. I guess I'll see if I can find one like you have. Haven't had the time to go junkyard hunting to see if I can find one. What year trucks came with the style like you have?

Did you ever figure out your body mount bushing troubles?

Mike, the way to get past the exhaust shop not having mandrel 2.5" systems is pretty easy. Have them bend the system the way you want it w/their standard 2.5" pipe. Go home & measure all the u-bends, then order only what you need to replace the shop bends. Take it back once you receive the mandrel-u's in & have them cut/splice the u-bends in where their shop bends were originally.

If it's a car guy you might even be able to purchase an allotment of mandrel bends in advance (summitt, headers by ed, sanderson, headman, etc) & have them just weld the bends in as they go. Sure it might cost a little more, but you would get what you want. Food for thought.
