What is this truck worth?
83 GMC Scottsdale, crew cab, 4X4 1 ton...350 4 speed. supposedly runs and drives good, not sure how many miles. body is fairly straight. not really worried about the truck itself, I'm more interested in the motor, tranny, & axles, for my blazer. He wants 2500 for the truck.
What do you guys think?

I would offer 1800. If its a oneton like you say, it should have a Dana 60 front pumpkin an that alone is worth about a grand if its in useable shape. The rear should be corporate 14 an those axles are indestructible as well. if the engine trans an t-case are all in good shape, then I would definetly look into buying it for 1800-2000. start low an work your way to a good price that leaves both of you happy.

hi mustang mr devilsride
is right on-and i would start at about 1750--but for the axles alone i -myself would not let it go even if he sticks to his price--i would pay it---especially if the motor runs well and it's a 4bolt main---is it.... goodluck aabear john |
