On a 73-78 chrome bumper, is there a easy way to remove the rear bumper? Looks pretty tight back behind the bumper. I am thinking you have to remove the 2 rear metal splash guard to get clear access to the bumper bolt/nut and in order to get clear access to remove the 2 rear splash guard mounting screws, you have to remove the tailgate.

Got them off, face full dirt, forearms scraped, a tight squeeze.
