starter wire
I'm having a brain fart. I can't remember with 100% certainty what terminal I use on the solenoid. I know what wires go to the main post but I have one wire that goes to the solenoid to activate it. Does it go to the "R" or to the "S". I thought it was the "S" but I wanted some reassurance.

S-solinoid, R-resistor, the resistor was used on points type ignitions so that the points wouldn't burn up as fast, the newer starters don't have the R post on them, hope this helps

Just to back it up.
Mine uses the closest post (or "S") to engine when the starter is installed.
