what gears to get?
just trying to figure out what brand ring and pinion i should get and where to get them from?
i've been looking at richmonds, i know they are supposedly noisey, but i don't care much about that. so what brand are you guys running and where did you order them from?

I picked mine up off of Ebay. Brand new Motive 3.73's and Eaton Posi for $537 I think. The guy I bought from has an ebay store.

I have Richmond 3.73's. Richmond gears are ground in a way that will cause them to whine if not properly set up. Mine don't whine.

i have summit gears, ford made them back in the day, put them in a warehouse, and sold them in a mass quantity to a company that summit bought from. mine winned a little when we first put it together, because we set the depth really deep to lock them together.

U.S. Gear, bought through the Canadian distributor for Strange Engineering. I like them very much!

Correctly set up rear gears do NOT whine. Just make sure that you have street type gears. Drag race gears are too soft for the street.
