Blazer of the month for July

I guess my '72 is the July's featured Blazer.

I just bought this rig in June from board member cheyenne10. I am the 4th owner and the two prior to me are both board members. It is almost all original, with the exception of a 4" lift and aftermarket steering wheel installed by previous owner BAD4X4. It has dealer installed side tanks and a rear step bumper. Wheels are 16" Steel with the factory hubcaps. The engine is all stock and the truck even has the markings on the firewall and inner fender. I have a soft top on order and hope to get it installed before summer is over. Other than that, my plans are to clean it up some and enjoy it. Eventually, I would like to do a frame up resortation, but that is in the distant future.

I'm thinking about some slightly bigger tires. Maybe as big as 33's. I'd like to get some wider steel wheels so I can keep the hubcaps. I'm definately not going to make any drastic changes to the truck for a while - except for the soft top that is on order...

Oh man! Glad to see you are open to bigger tires. I think some 33x12.50 - 14.50 would look awesome on some 12 inch wide wheels.

How much gas do the extra tanks hold? And, can you afford to fill 'em?

I think they are 13gal each. I filled them on the road trip back up from Eugene when I bought it, but I haven't filled them since. They slosh around a lot so I probably won't use them much. I can barely afford to fill the main tank!
