Most any 8 ft stepside will fit from like 55 - 87, with some minor modification, but the 8 ft stepside that will bolt up to your truck for sure with no modification would be from 81-87, though I am nearly 100% sure that the bolt pattern would be the same from 73-87, and possibly even earlier...

Any bed from 73-87 should fit, I have an 84 model stepside bed on my 78. You will have to move the gas tank for a 73-80 model bed as they are on the pass. side and 81-87 are driverside. You could look for a dual tank bed, but I think that was more of a shortbed thing. I had to move my tank to the dr. side. I had the option of getting a 74 bed, but it didnt have a gas tank door, so I went with the 84. Thats really the only difference.
You could always do like I did and cut a perfectly good truck in half!

It would certainly be different. I have only seen 3 or 4 of them, ever, so you might be hard pressed to find one. Slonaker |

I've seen a couple, and a guy near my school owns one, looks odd from the side, but from the rear or the front, it looks great, just like a short stepper, only longer, lol!
